Dr. James Dorney, DVM, owns Summit Dog and Cat Hospital, a family owned and operated veterinary hospital at 16 Morris Turnpike in Summit, NJ that has served the Summit community for over a century.

Dr. Alina Tsavera, DVM, a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, leads exotic pet care at Summit Dog and Cat Hospital. She treats rabbits, guinea pigs and other small rodents, birds and reptiles, along with dogs and cats.

Surgery is performed by the hospital's veterinary team, including Dr. Benn Doyle, DVM, a surgeon who has practiced small animal medicine and surgery in New Jersey since the 1980s, and Dr. Ben, DVM, who trained in small animal surgery and interventional radiology at Michigan State University.

Yes. Dr. Amy Baker, DVM, a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with more than 10 years of experience, is especially passionate about treating chronic illness in cats. Cats of every age are seen by the full veterinary team.

The veterinarians in Summit, NJ trained at Cornell University, the University of Missouri, Ross University, Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and Alexandria University, with advanced surgical training at Michigan State University.
