ADVANCED VETERINARY SURGERY
Dr. Ben, DVM, is an experienced veterinary surgeon with more than 15 years of experience in academia and high-volume veterinary hospitals. He performs a wide range of surgical procedures, with extensive orthopedic training and a strong interest in trauma and soft tissue surgery. His particular passions include minimally invasive surgery and interventional radiology, offering advanced treatment approaches designed to support patient recovery and healing.
After graduating from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany, in 2004, Dr. Ben completed an internship in general medicine and surgery. He then pursued advanced surgical specialization at Michigan State University, completing a residency in small animal surgery, a surgery fellowship, and a fellowship in interventional radiology.
Following his move to New Jersey in 2011, Dr. Ben established the interventional radiology service at NorthStar VETS and developed the surgery service at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Hillsborough. In 2014, he founded Princeton Veterinary Specialists, further contributing to advanced veterinary surgical care in the region.
As a Fear Free Certified Professional, Dr. Ben emphasizes a gentle, individualized approach to every patient and family. He is passionate about expanding minimally invasive surgical options to help animals recover and heal with less invasive treatment whenever appropriate.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Ben enjoys traveling, hiking, sailing, skiing, motorcycling, and gardening. He also values spending quality time with friends, family, and his own four-legged companions.
