EXPERIENCED VETERINARY CARE
Dr. Amr, DVM, brings more than 20 years of clinical veterinary experience across three countries to Summit Dog and Cat Hospital. His extensive background in small animal medicine, clinical pathology, gynecology, and alternative veterinary medicine allows him to provide thoughtful, individualized care for dogs and cats at every stage of life.
Dr. Amr began his veterinary education at Alexandria University's School of Veterinary Medicine in Egypt, earning his Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He continued his postgraduate studies in clinical pathology and gynecology, developing additional knowledge in veterinary diagnostics and specialized care.
After moving to the United States, Dr. Amr completed the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) program through the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), obtained his DVM qualification, and practiced as a licensed veterinarian in private veterinary practices. He joined Summit Dog and Cat Hospital in 2022, bringing decades of international clinical experience to the team.
With a particular interest in alternative medicine for small animals, Dr. Amr believes veterinary care should extend beyond treating illness to improving comfort, relieving pain and suffering, and supporting each pet's overall quality of life. His compassionate approach reflects his belief that caring for animals of all species is a noble responsibility.
Dr. Alina recognizes that veterinary visits can be stressful for pets and their owners. She prioritizes listening to families, understanding each patient's individual needs, and working collaboratively to make informed healthcare decisions. Whether providing preventive care, treating illness, managing pain, or performing surgery, her goal is to help pets live healthier, happier lives while strengthening the bond they share with their families.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Amr enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, playing table tennis, and swimming. His dedication to veterinary medicine combines extensive clinical knowledge with genuine compassion for animals and the families who love them.
